I’m happy to announce that as of 11th Jan 2024 I have acquired the “Divi Form DB” plugin. Previously sold on the Elegant Marketplace, then WPPluginsPlus, Divi Form DB was launched in 2017 and has had around 10,000 downloads.

As a simple to use and lightweight plugin, it is the ideal first plugin to acquire to sit alongside my growing range of WordPress based services.” said Dave Grey, the man behind the WordPress content monitoring service & plugin, HeadsUpWP.

Divi is a popular WordPress page builder (700k+ installs) and its built in contact form module is surprisingly versatile. One feature it lacks (at time of writing) is saving form submissions to the WordPress database.

As anyone who has used WordPress before will know, email delivery can sometimes be a little hit and miss. However, with the Divi Form DB plugin installed your form submissions are safely saved in the WordPress database ready to be reviewed when you next log in.

Exporting to CSV

There is little point saving data in your database without being able to export it again. Select a form, click a couple of buttons and you’ve got your data ready in CSV, ready to import into another application or service.

Copy a form submission to any Post Type

A lesser known benefit of Divi Form DB is its ability to copy a form submission into any post type, be it built-in or custom. Ever wished your visitors could provide their own testimonials without doing all the data entry? Well now you can!

You’ll still need to create a custom post type and a way to display it, but this handy plugin can help to bridge the gap.

Licensing & pricing changes

As of Divi Form DB v2.x, Freemius will be used for license management and updates. To receive future updates & support, existing license holders will need to cancel their current license before its renewal and re-subscribe via Freemius.

No one likes price rises, but the current price will be reviewed. I have some interesting plans for the plugin over the coming year which will be worth a few dollars more a year.
